The fundraising for the restoration of and research into the ceiling paintings was presented on 25 April 2008 by the Peace Palace’s director Mr Steven van Hoogstraten, accompanied by Mayor Jozias van Aartsen and alderman Fritz Huffnagel of The Hague.
